An international player in the food industry faced a major challenge. Following an SAP S/4HANA upgrade, their trusted LTMC scripts were no longer supported. Without an alternative, creating new materials risked becoming a time-consuming, manual process.
The challenge: how do you replace a critical system and optimise your data process at the same time?
With LTMC no longer available, there was an urgent need for a new solution to automate material creation in SAP. At the same time, the company saw an opportunity to phase out an outdated PIM system. Although it was no longer fully in use, the PLC workflow still depended on it. The customer was therefore looking for a partner who could not only provide the right software, but also ensure a fast, hassle-free implementation before the go-live of the new SAP upgrade.
The solution: practical, intelligent workflows with Process Runner Easy Workflow
In less than six months, Tentive delivered a robust, future-proof solution using Process Runner and Easy Workflow. A total of 30 workflows were developed, replacing not only the LTMC process but also taking over the PLC management process.
In addition, extra scripts and workflows were developed for:
- Mass changes in SAP
- Automatically creating commodity codes and characteristics during material creation
- Modifying product specifications
Thanks to the powerful combination of Process Runner and Easy Workflow, the entire process is now fully automated and streamlined. Once the workflows are triggered, the system automatically creates materials in SAP and Process Runner directs the flow to the relevant departments, where each stakeholder completes their related tasks. The result is an extremely smooth, fast, and reliable process — with no manual intervention required.
